Councillor Susan Jordan
Deputy Town Mayor
I'm a retired nurse, married to a semi-retired GP, so always have the health of the NHS as one of my most important concerns. I was born in Marlow and after years in London and Canada settled in Chesham. I have lived in Berkhamsted for two years. We have two children, one of whom lives in the town with his family. I was a Town Councillor in Chesham for 8 years and a school governor for 20+ years, latterly as Chair – the importance of good early education outcomes for children is vital for their development. I am also very exercised by the effects of climate change and how we can personally contribute to ameliorating its effects – by good recycling measures, the management of litter which is a blight along our roads, and making sure that we value and take care of our natural water resources.
