Discover a more sustainable way of living and contribute to building resilience in our community (Berkhamsted, Northchurch, and neighbouring villages).

The monthly events, held at the Quaker Meeting House from 2:30 to 5:00 on the first Sunday of each month, kick off on December 3rd. Each event revolves around a central theme – December focuses on green energy, January on plant-based eating, February on Resilience & Wellbeing, and so forth.

Your Tree Our Future – Claim your free tree

Hertfordshire County Council are offering Hertfordshire residents the chance to claim free trees as part of our ‘Your Tree Our Future’ scheme which will see 100,000 trees given away over the next four years.

The ‘Your Tree Our Future’ scheme was created as part of our Tree and Woodland Strategy, which sets out how the council will increase tree cover in the county. The project will be delivered in partnership with all ten district and borough councils.

Anyone planting a tree as part of this scheme can also do so in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, after His Majesty King Charles III requested that the Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC) scheme be extended to March 2023. Find out how to pin your tree to the QGC map.

More information available on the Hertfordshire County Council Website.
