A spellbinding open air production of William Shakespeare's 'The Tempest' set on the open air stage at Ashridge House. A fun favourite for all the family with its cast of colourful characters, original musical score, madcap romps, high comedy and tender love.

Shakespeare's late, great gem, widely believed to be the last full play that he wrote alone, examines the power of true love, our capacity for vengeance and what it takes to forgive. The play that has mesmerised and moved audiences for over 400 years is just as relevant and powerful today.

Directors Michael Corbidge of RSC and Victoria Williams say "with some of Shakespeare's most memorable speeches and packed with famous characters - from the elemental and Caliban and Ariel, to the comic clowns, Trinculo and Stephano, and the enchanting force that unites them all: the great wizard, Prospero".

'The Tempest' is a truly magical and enchanting play with something for all to enjoy; it certainly makes for an evening not to be missed.
