Japanese Knotweed dies back in the winter, but as spring approaches it will start to emerge so home and land owners should be very vigilant. Although It is not illegal to have Japanese Knotweed in your garden, you should on your property aim to control this invasive non-native plant to prevent it becoming a problem in your neighbourhood.
