I'm a non-binary author and Quaker who organised 21 'Berkhamsted Live' shows in the Kings Arms to showcase the work of creative and community-active people. The shows raised money for The Pepper Foundation. Since the pandemic, I've moved to Radio Dacorum where I interview local people and play their requests. As a climate activist I've read the IPCC reports, so I'm keen to build community resilience to the climate/eco emergency declared in 2019 by Berkhamsted Town Council. I've helped local refugee organisations and recently MC-ed a fundraising concert to feed people in Ukraine. At 74 I'm not the player I used to be when I became British Under 21^st Chess Champion, but I take on all-comers in fun, educational 'Chess For Climate' events.
