Finance and Policy

The key role of the Finance and Policy Committee is to assess yearly estimates of income and expenditure and to recommend the level of Council Tax precept required to fund the Council's planned programme of work, making sure that your money is spent wisely. Another function is to consider applications from local organisations for grants and to support the local voluntary sector.

The Finance and Policy Committee oversees the work and receives and adopts the minutes of the following sub-committees and groups:

• Lagley Meadow Youth and Community Centre Sub-Committee
• Events Committee
• Support Services Group
• Communications Group

The Town Council has a representative on the Swan Youth Project and the Committee also considers reports from the Swan Youth Group's meetings of Trustees.
