In this beautiful town of Berkhamsted, most of us are now aware of the threats posed to our way of life by the climate emergency, pollution and destruction of precious habitat. We also have a broad idea of the sorts of actions needed to combat these threats but it's often not easy to get information and guidance if we want to take action personally.
The aim of this site is to provide information about what is available to Berkhamsted residents together with news of sustainability projects and initiatives being implemented by our Town Council and local voluntary groups.
The aim of Climate Action Berkhamsted is to support, educate and encourage the local people who live and/ or work in Berkhamsted, Northchurch and surrounding villages to make positive environmental changes in their everyday lives in their local area. We would like to give individuals and organisations such as schools, community groups, charities, and businesses the opportunity to find out more and get involved. If you or your organisation would like to be added to the Climate Action Berkhamsted mailing list please fill in the relevant form:
- Climate Action Berkhamsted contacts form for individuals
- Climate Action Berkhamsted contacts for organisations
The Climate Action Berkhamsted website and events are coming soon but, in the meantime, please keep in touch on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

We can take action
Our modern lifestyles are making unprecedented demands on planetary resources. However we can take action at a personal level to tread more lightly on the planet. These actions may be small in the scheme of things but hopefully will encourage others to follow suit and help catalyse the changes required at national and international level.
