OPERA CONCERT

On Saturday 20th October the third annual Opera Concert will be held at Little Gaddesden Church following the two previously successful events. The proceeds raised will be shared as in prior years between the Hospice of St Francis and Little Gaddesden Church. More »

Viv McLean will again be at the piano and will be playing both Chopin and Gershwin and accompanying four singers from the Royal Opera House, a Tenor (George Fairburn), a Soprano (Marianne Cotterill) a Mezzo Soprano (Jeanette Ager) and Barritone (Jonathan Fisher). All the artists are well known and have performed at many concerts around the country and abroad. The programme ranges from Puccini and Bizet to Strauss and Mozart with a sprinkling of Gershwin and from many others.

The Concert will commence at 7:30 (Doors open at 6:30) and tickets can be obtained at the Little Gaddesden Village Shop, online from MCRoberts4@aol.com or by telephone at 01442 843444. Early reservation is recommended but there will be some tickets available at the Church before the performance. The tickets are, as last year, £25.

It is hoped that the two charities will benefit substantially from all those attending and that what is planned will be an outstanding feast of music and an enjoyable evening.
